Terms & Acceptable Use

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and Hynds AI (“we”, “us”) governing your use of the Hynds AI V2T application and related services (the “Service”). If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

V2T is a browser-based tool that converts speech to text and offers optional AI actions such as cleanup, summarization, translation, note formatting, action-item extraction, email drafting, and prompt generation. Speech recognition runs in your browser; AI actions are processed on demand when you request them.

3. Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Service and must use it in compliance with all applicable laws.

4. Free tier, Pro subscription, and billing

• Free tier. Available at no cost, subject to daily limits and ad-supported, and offered “as is.”
• Pro. A paid subscription that unlocks higher limits and removes ads. Pro is an annual subscription ($29/year); current pricing is shown in the app at checkout.
• Billing and renewal. Subscriptions are billed through Stripe and renew automatically at the end of each term unless cancelled. You authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method for each renewal at the then-current price.
• Cancellation. You may cancel at any time. Your Pro access continues through the end of the period you have already paid for, after which the account reverts to the free tier.
• Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will review it in good faith.
• Taxes. Prices may exclude applicable taxes, which may be added at checkout.

5. License keys and device limit

A Pro subscription is associated with a license key that activates Pro on your devices. Each key is for your own personal use and may be active on up to three (3) devices at the same time — for example your laptop, phone, and tablet.

If activation is attempted on a fourth device, we may automatically issue a replacement key to the email address on file for the subscription and deactivate the previous key on all devices; you can then re-activate Pro on your devices with the new key. This protects your subscription from unauthorized sharing. Devices that have not been used for an extended period may be released automatically so they no longer count toward the limit.

Please do not publish, share, resell, or attempt to generate keys. We may deactivate keys that appear to be abused, compromised, or used in violation of these Terms. Keys we provide free of charge as a courtesy may be exempt from the device limit at our discretion.

6. Acceptable use and fair use

The Service is designed for individual productivity. "Unlimited" AI actions on a Pro plan means unlimited interactive use — not automated, programmatic, or high-volume batch processing. Each Pro license is for a single person and is subject to a monthly fair-use limit on AI requests; keys that exceed it may be paused for the remainder of the calendar month. This limit is set well above normal individual use and exists only to prevent a single key from being resold or run as an automated back-end. If you have a genuine high-volume or team need, contact us and we will accommodate it.

We also reserve the right to throttle or suspend keys that exhibit usage patterns consistent with automation, API scraping, or systematic abuse (for example, scripted requests, browser automation against the AI endpoints, or sustained machine-generated traffic). Per-action character limits (currently 15,000 for free and 50,000 for Pro) apply to all input methods, including typed, pasted, and file-dropped text.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to create, process, or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, or that infringes others’ rights.
• Attempt to overload, disrupt, or circumvent rate limits, character limits, or other protections of the Service, or access it through unauthorized automated means.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or underlying models, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service without our written permission.
• Use the Service to violate the privacy or rights of others, including submitting content you have no right to process.

7. AI output — important disclaimer

AI features can make mistakes. Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for a given purpose, and speech recognition can mis-transcribe. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any output before relying on it. The Service does not provide legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice, and AI output must not be treated as such.

8. Your content and intellectual property

As between you and us, you retain all rights to the text and content you dictate or submit (“Your Content”). We do not claim ownership of it, and we do not use it to train AI models. We own the Service itself — its software, design, and branding — and grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it under these Terms.

9. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties (including Stripe for payments, our AI provider for processing AI actions, and Google AdSense for free-tier ads). Your use of those features may also be subject to the providers’ terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that speech recognition or AI output will be accurate. Browser speech-recognition availability and quality depend on your browser and device.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hynds AI will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or US $50.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hynds AI from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to it or to others. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as disclaimers, limitations of liability, and IP terms) will survive.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The exclusive venue for disputes not subject to arbitration or small-claims court will be the state or federal courts located in Idaho, to the extent permitted by law.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves or as the law requires. We will revise the “Last updated” date above, and material changes will be reflected here. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
